The Cross on the Hill

Holy places
  • Su-Psekh, en route from Anapa to the beaches of Sukko and Utrish

On top of the hill between two villages – Su-Psekh and Varvarovka, in May 2005 was erected an 18-metre-high roadside cross, the largest in the region. The cross, a symbol of reconciliation and concord between the Caucasus nations, was mounted to the 60th anniversary of the Victory Day.

An excellent view of Anapa opens from the ground on top of the hill. Every summer it hosts the museum of bells spreading around a merry peal, chime or deep toll, depending on their size and range.
