How to Get
There are 4 airports in Krasnodar Krai: Anapa, Gelendzhik, Sochi and Krasnodar. In summer, there are direct flights from different Russian cities by Aeroflot, S7, TransAero, Russiam UTAir, Yakutia, etc. In winter, Anapa and Gelendzhik receive only flights from Moscow.
Anapa Airport is located 15 km away from the city.
To reach the city from the airport, take a marshrutka (a minibus plying along a fixed route) or a taxi. The latter will cost you RUR 500 ($ 15). In summer, Marshrutka No. 3 runs between the airport and the city’s bus terminal (Avtovokzal) at hourly interval. In winter, Marshrutka No. 3 runs irregularly.
Gelendzhik Airport is located in 10 km from the downtown, next to the M-4 Highway. From the airport you may take Bus No. 5 to Thin Cape (Tonky Mys); marshrutkas Nos. 5 and 12. A taxi to the city centre will cost you RUR 200+ ($ 7+).
Krasnodar (Pashkovsky) Airport is located in 12 km from the city centre, on its eastern outskirt. The Don M-4 Highway lays some 2 – 3 km off the airport. Trolleybus No. 7 will take you to Krasnodar I Railway Station in about an hour. Alternatively, take marshrutkas No. 53 or 15 (a 40-min trip). To the city centre, take Buses Nos. 1, 1A (Krasnaya and Severnaya Streets, Krasnodar II Bus Terminal & Railway Station, Aurora Cinema). A taxi to downtown will cost you about RUR 500 ($ 15). An ‘official’ taxi from Krasnodar Airport to Anapa or Novorossiysk would be priced as much as RUR 4,000+ ($ 120+); however, in low season you may bargain with the local unofficial taxi drivers down to RUR 1,500 – 2,000 ($ 50 – 60). As a rule, the bargain will do – if you have described your route precisely; otherwise you may be conned out of some extra cash – so be careful! A coach from Krasnodar Bus Station to Anapa will cost about RUR 250 ($ 7.5).
A trip by train may be cheaper than by plane. Trains go to Krasnodar, Novorossiysk, Anapa, Tuapse and Sochi.
Anapa Railway Station is 7 km away from the city centre.
